Wasit University Holds Honoring Ceremony for Orphaned and Visually Impaired Students
As part of its ongoing collaboration with various state institutions, the College of Medicine at Wasit University, in cooperation with the University of Kut and the Public Partnership and Community Service Unit at the University Presidency, organized an honoring ceremony for a group of students supported by the Iraqi Creativity House, the Wasit Buds Institute for Orphan Care, and the Al-Noor Institute for the Care of the Visually Impaired and Low Vision.
The event featured a variety of activities celebrating the students’ academic success and excellence during the past school year, in an atmosphere filled with joy and moral support.
This initiative is part of a series of efforts by the college and university to build effective partnerships with state institutions, universities, and civil society organizations, aimed at supporting children in their life journeys and encouraging them to continue their education and achieve academic excellence for a better future for themselves and for Iraq.
The Dean of the College, Dr. Naseer Al-Maliki, affirmed the administration’s continued support for such humanitarian and community initiatives, and its commitment to celebrating and standing by children from the care homes and visually impaired students. He wished them further success and achievement, hoping that their dreams come true and that they are granted a bright future worthy of their innocence and aspirations.
